Dr. Olga Degtyareva - Paramus, NJ

My very first job was as a receptionist at a veterinarian’s office, which gave me early experience in a professional, patient-focused environment. I later decided to pursue the dental field because my mother is a dentist, and I grew up spending much of my childhood in a dental office—observing, assisting, and even answering phones. I witnessed firsthand the transformation a smile can bring to someone’s life, and I knew I wanted to create that same impact for others. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, horseback riding, and putting puzzles together. Something many people don’t know about me is that I once saved a life—when my little sister was a toddler, she choked on a plum pit, and I performed the Heimlich maneuver, sending it flying out of her mouth. As for food, I have a sweet tooth and love pastries and cakes, especially those that are light and fluffy.
